Transition Year at St. Mary’s
Transition Year is a one-year programme available to all students who have completed their Junior Cycle education. It is not compulsory to do TY in our school, although we have an extremely high uptake.
TY provides a bridge for students to move from a state of dependence at junior level to a more independent and active role regarding their education and future. Students who choose Transition Year develop new skills and discover personal strengths.
The innovative TY programme shown below show cases our innovative and creative approach to planning a broad spectrum of experiential learning experiences for TY students.
